Joanna Urban

Joanna Urban is an award-winning writer whose short stories have appeared in Gargoyle, Discretionary Love, Belle Ombre, and Grace & Gravity, among other publications. A nominee for Best Small Fictions, she is a three-time fellowship recipient from the D.C. Commission on Arts & Humanities and was the 2022 Italia Scholar at the Leopardi Writing Conference in Recanati, Italy. Joanna lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and rescue dog.
