Mark McCreary

I am Mark McCreary a 56-year-old married writer living in Kells County Meath, Ireland. I have been primarily an award winning poet but have an extensive portfolio of short fiction. I was a member of Boston's Stone Soup Poets, featured Poet at The Herring Run Festival 2003 and have been an arts event host, most notably Arts From The Heart and Coming Together-A Night of Music-Occupy Pittsburgh/Occupy Dublin-Internet Simulcast-November 2011. I went to The University of Cincinnati and Boston University.

“The Dead Wall of Silence”, “Pieces” and “Scratching Out Earth”

In “The Dead Wall of Silence” the poet alludes to a partition against the backdrop of “sheep/and suckled cattle” in atypical dimeter and trimeter feet. In “Pieces,” he is not done with the fracturing: “Actual actions of schisms,” “splintered spectators,” “absolute absence”—just pieces. And in “Scratching Out Earth,” the poet faithfully renders the title in imagistic verse.
