The photographs are from the series, Metamorphosis. Each painterly creation constructed from dozens of layered photographs is driven by my reaction to nature’s extreme seasonal change. I draw upon my work as a fine artist in painting and my lifelong preoccupation with collecting and displaying natural found ephemera. My goal is for each photograph to become much like a shadow box of treasured jewels as I attempt to hold on yet remain captive inside nature’s fleeting, evanescent labyrinth.

My main inspired focus is fine art photography and writing, although I continue my work as a studio artist in painting. I consider myself an ex-city-dweller gone feral as I spend a great deal of time trekking the woods in and around my rural home in upstate New York, chasing paradise with my camera.
