Janet Brugos creates her mixed media collages from found objects, paper fragments and water media. Texture plays an integral part in Brugos’ art. Part of her work displays the elements of spontaneity, while other parts in the same piece are tightly controlled. To observe Brugos’ work is like traveling the world with good reason. Brugos spent a number of years in the travel industry collecting experiences and visions. She captures both illusion and reality in her art. Viewers are invited to make their own interpretation.
