Patricia Franz writes picture books for children, the drafts which typically begin as poems. Some of her poems appear in the Pomelo Books anthologies THINGS WE FEEL (2022), THINGS WE WEAR (2022), WHAT IS A FRIEND? (2022), and WHAT IS HOPE? (2023). She lives with her husband, her Bernese Mountain dog, and her sourdough starter in both the Arizona desert and the Sierra Nevada mountains. She has been paying her respect to glaciers since 1981.
