Tianyagenv Yan
Tianyagenv uses light clay to make miniature figures and wishes to capture the characteristics of femininity, vulnerability, and resilience in potential. Through those figures, she narrates her decades-long diasporic experience, a journey marked by isolation, alienation, constant loss, and peculiar intimate connections with spiritual presences that defy rational explanation. She believes it is through creative work that the possibility of authenticity emerges, and it is through authenticity that one may experience solace in the face of existential distress.
